At Union Dental, our mission is to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve. We understand that Health is Wealth. Union Dental is committed to adding value to our communities by being a partner in health and a good corporate citizen. We believe community involvement and social responsibility is a part of our legacy. Dr. Dang has always held the belief that we should help those in need; that is why he has extended his hand and helped many organizations throughout the Bay Area. His contributions include opening all his offices to provide pro bono dental care for those in need. He has extended his help to the Battered Women's group in Santa Clara County, and provides pro bono emergency care for all unemployed members and their families. As we continue to lend a helping hand, our efforts will inevitably affect the overall health and well-being of the communities we serve. Our charitable work has resulted in being awarded the Corporate Leadership Award in Contra Costa County. Dr. Dang was recently honored as the Healthcare Provider of the Year 2012 by the Instituto Laboral de la Raza.
We also provide a wide array of programs, classes and services to the community free of charge or at a reduced cost. It’s all part of our mission to serve the communities in need.

According to the American Dental Association, there is a growing concern among America’s dentists that many of their patients are consuming record numbers of sugar-filled drinks and non-nutritious snack foods that can harm teeth.
When you eat these types of foods, and even some foods that are otherwise healthy for your body, the bacteria in your mouth come in contact with sugars and starches and produce acids. If left in the mouth, these acids attack the teeth and destroy the enamel, eventually resulting in tooth decay.
Our dentists are recruited from the best dental schools in the country and most of our dentists have advanced degrees in dental specialities. Union Dental is led by an NYU graduate and the Oral Surgery Department is head by a Harvard graduate. In order to maintain their license each dentist is required by law to obtain approximately 15-30 continuing education unites per year, provided in-house by their affiliated dental group.
